Description:

Single Roll Crushers are used for size reduction of products ranging from soft to medium hard materials.

Feed Materials :

Mode of Operation :

The Single Roll Crusher carries out size reduction in a wedge-shaped crushing area by pressure and shearing stress. The crushing body is composed of a rotating roll and an adjustable and spring-mounted crushing plate located on the opposite side.

The distance between the base of the crushing plate and the tips of the roll crusher's teeth determines the adjustable gap width, which can be varied depending on the desired product size.

Any wear and tear which may occur can be adjusted via the crushing plate. Depending on the feed material and the desired product size, the Roll Crusher is equipped with either teeth or ledges.

The crushing plate is equipped with a replaceable comb plate.

Type of Construction :

The construction of the Single Roll Crusher has the following characteristics:

Rotor :

Toothed crushing rings made of Manganese Steel are mounted on a fabricated rotor which itself is supported on amply dimensioned forged steel shaft and spherical roller bearings. The rings are held together with tie bolts which run through & through and are secured by nuts. The bearings are protected against ingress of dust by grease lubricated labyrinths.

Crushing Plate :

Fabricated out of MS Plate and provided with replaceable liners. The crushing plate is held in the housing by a hinged shaft in the upper part of the housing. The crushing plate is supported against threaded spindle with spring support which enables pre-tensioning of the spring for required crushing power as well as to serve as safety against un-crushable material. The threaded spindle can be adjusted for required gap setting.

Housing :

Heavy ribbed fabricated housing with large openings for inspection of roll is provided.

Drive Unit :

Machine is driven by a motor of adequate power through V belts.

Method of Feeding :

The crusher should be fed across the entire width of the rotor with a regulated feed by a suitable feeder. There should be sufficient height of fall from the edge of the feeder to the crusher rotor for optimum results.
